Hi everyone, my name is Rheuben Allen and I have been a clarinet repairman and manufacturer for over 50 years now.
I am starting the clarinet connection website so clarinet players can post interesting things about the clarinet.
It is simple all you need to do is email your post and I will post it on this site. The only thing I ask is that you only summit positive things and if it is negative keep it to yourself.
Things like: If you discover a new ligature, clarinet brand, study books, reeds tell us what you like about them. If you have a great teacher let us know. You get the idea.
Example of things that will not get posted no matter how strongly you believe them:
We all know there are no good reeds.
I didn’t like the clarinet player in last night’s concert.
My teacher says so & so sucks.
Don’t talk about mouthjpieces you don’t like only the ones you do and always tell why you like them.
Posting things about the clarinet should be to help other clarinet players in their search for knowledge. As we all know there are many ways to reach the same conclusion. I always like to start the things I say with “I my experience” and let everyone know the statements are limited to my experiences.
